Who do you have cosmetic surgery for?

All the ladies I know claim that they have cosmetic surgery for themselves. This may or may not be true. My own impression is that perhaps what women are saying is that they are doing it for other women rather than for men.

However, I do not an interesting statistics. The percentage of women who have breast plastic surgery is the same in the United States as in France. The difference is that the ladies in the US have four breast augmentations for each breast reduction while in France it is the opposite as four out of five French ladies reduce their breast size and one out of five wants a larger breast.

I could be wrong, but I guess the reason is that the Frenchmen prefare reasonable sized breasts and we like large breasts. It may be the same as our idea about cars where in France the like reasonable size cars and here we buy SUVs (perhaps to compensate for our lack of????).

Anyway Freud would have a field day with this statistic.

By the way France is number 16 per capita in the number of plastic surgery operations and the US in number 19. The country with most cosmetic surgery (per capita) is Switzaerland. THen come Cyprus, Spain and Lebenon. In fact the Swiss have about seven times more cosmetic surgery than we do.
