Get rid of that tatto and get a job
In today’s precarious job market you need every advantage you can get. In this competitive job market, you don’t want to worry about a prospective employer staring at your tattoos showing on various parts of your body.
In the same as in the orient many are now going to the plastic surgeon to “look better” to get a job, many here are paying to remove their tattoos. Clinics that provide the laser ink-fading service say they’ve seen an increase in business since the first of the year, despite a slowdown in other corners of the cosmetic industry.
While the current economic downturn has persuaded many to curtail spending in some areas, young tattooed people are often ready to shell out the $150 a session it costs to get their tattoos (reminders of their less job caring earlier days) removed. The lasers which clean their tattoos make a zapping sound, like moths hitting an electric bug light, as it erases the ink marks embedded into their skins.
While the more expensive cosmetic surgeries, such as breast augmentation and full face-lifts, have waned since the downturn, according to a study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the procedures that cost less than $1,000, such as the tattoo removal and Botox injections have increased in number especially as people are applying for new jobs or are afraid they may lose their current work.
